Drew and Spencer \ The Eyes Have It
Spencer nodded his thanks as he picked up the first towel and ran it under the water. He tried - and failed - to suppress a wince as he touched it to the cut on his forehead, which was still bleeding freely. He paused at her question but quickly began dabbing at his wound again. ”I called you because I trust you.” he said frankly. ”There are some agents in my division - I won’t mention names - whom I do not trust with my life. You however, I feel I can give that trust.” Spencer removed the towel from his face and looked at Drew straight on. ”And because I know you won’t tell anyone of this if I ask you not to. Because I also trust that you know when to keep your mouth shut.” He said it as a simple statement but he hoped that Drew caught on to his meaning behind it; she was not to speak of this encounter to anyone.
“Trust?” she echoed, confusion passing across her face. He made it clear that this little incident was to stay between the two of them. “I see…Well there’s no reason for me to spread your information around the office. I don’t talk to anyone as it is.” She shifted her weight and gave the kitchen a quick once-over. The cleanliness and amount of dishes told her that Spencer lived alone. It didn’t seem like there was an animal living with him either. She glanced back to his face and frowned. “That isn’t going to heal properly without stitches.” she said, pointing to his forehead. Drew paused, looking at his hands. “…would you like some help?”
